In addition to the omissions of Carolina Deslandes and Dino D’Santiago, the absence of Marisa Liz stands out, a mentor who has been part of the format since 2014having participated in ten editions, including one of ‘The Voice Kids’ – a number that only Aurea approached, with eight.
The singer, who rose to fame as the lead singer of Amor Electro, turned to social media to share a messageas a farewell, promising to aspire to return in the future.
“‘The Voice Portugal’ was and will always be part of my life. It’s a piece of love, learning, team and family. It’s a sweet and unforgettable piece of ten years of my life, where I gave myself completely in every moment”, began by writing on Instagram the former mentor who debuted in the second season.
“I left my heart open to every song and was happy to give and receive the gift of music. They stole my heart! It freed me from prejudice and made me what I believe to be a better person today. Emotionally, I have lived the most beautiful and also the most difficult moments of my life, but I believe that each of them has settled in me in the right way,” said the 40-year-old artist.
“It hurts my heart (…) to inform you that I am going to take a break. Changes are necessary and I am a woman who lives with challenges! After 10 issues, I felt it was the right time. I hope one day to come back! If that makes sense to me and to you. Thank you all! Thank you all! The love of this team, the competitors and everyone who supports us has changed my life. Thanks, it was worth it!”
Marisa Liz, refer, is also the mentor that most of the contestants of ‘The Voice Portugal’ have taken to the final victory, four: Tomás Adrião, Marvi, Luís Trigacheiro and Gustavo Reinas, the latest winner of the public station format.
