2023 has already brought its fair share of good things, but the coming months promise to empty fans’ pockets quickly. With great promise in AAA titles and new IPs, the games for PS4 and PS5 planned for this semester are attracting attention for the most varied reasons.
New Spider-Man, Armored Core debuting on current console generations, plenty of heavy survival horror returns… These are just a taste of what’s to come. Check out the main highlights for the rest of 2023 below:

Immortals of Aveum (PS5) – August 22
Immortals of Aveum is a single player FPS that tells the story of Jak. With legions of soldiers on both sides of a great battle, he must uncover the mysteries of Aveum while trying to survive. Master three magical forces and cast spells in a game that defies genre conventions.
Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon (PS4/PS5) – August 25
Armored Core VI is a title that combines FromSoftware’s experience in game engines with the franchise’s signature gameplay, bringing a completely new and even more explosive action experience. Adventure is one of the most anticipated PS4 and PS5 games of the year.
Sea of Stars (PS4/PS5) – August 29
Sea of Stars seeks to modernize the classic RPG in terms of turn-based combat, storytelling, exploration, and interactions with scenery, without losing its signature nostalgia and fun. Studio Sabotage has added a special touch to every system in the game.
Baldur’s Gate 3 (PS5) – September 6
Baldur’s Gate 3 lets you create your own character with a choice of D&D races and classes, or follow the story of an original hero. Adventure, plunder, fight and explore the Forgotten Realms and many other locations. The RPG can be played alone or in groups of up to four players in multiplayer mode.
Lies of P (PS4/PS5) – September 19
An action RPG that reinterprets an ancient fairy tale in a twisted and sinister way, Lies of P features elaborate battles against crazed puppets and unexpected foes. Also, Pinocchio must learn to lie and manage his emotions to become human, in order to achieve his destiny.
Mortal Kombat 1 (PS5) – September 19
In Mortal Kombat 1, discover a reborn universe created by the fire god Liu Kang. One of the most anticipated PS4 and PS5 games of the summer, the sequel to MK 11 brings a new era to the iconic franchise, with an all-new combat system, additional game modes and even more violent deaths.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty (PS5) – September 26
Phantom Liberty is a new thriller adventure set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077. The President of New USA has his ship shot down in Night City, and it’s up to you, as V, to save it. On this journey, a web of espionage and political intrigue leads to a story that connects powerful and underground mercenaries.
EA Sports FC 24 (PS4/PS5) – September 29
EA Sports FC 24 brings a new era to everyone’s game, with over 19,000 licensed athletes, over 700 teams and over 30 leagues. The game features three advanced technologies that bring unparalleled realism to every match: HyperMotionV, Opta-optimized PlayStyles, and Frostbite Engine.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage (PS4/PS5) – October 12
On a smaller scale and back to the Assassin’s roots, you play as Basim, a young thief looking for answers. Explore the detailed and interactive world of the streets of Baghdad in the 9th century, while uncovering the mysteries of the past and fighting for its future.
Lords of the Fallen (PS5) – October 13
Lords of the Fallen presents a new RPG with an epic adventure in an interconnected world, five times larger than the original game. After the defeat of the demon god Adyr, an era of cruel tyranny has come to an end, but darkness is about to be reborn.
Alan Wake 2 (PS5) – October 17
A series of ritual murders strikes the community of Bright Falls, a town surrounded by wilderness in the Pacific Northwest. Saga Anderson, a veteran FBI agent, arrives to investigate the case, only to discover the pages of a horror story that seem to come to life.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 (PS5) – October 20
Peter Parker and Miles Morales take on challenges and fight to save the city while protecting the people they love from Venom and a new threat: the symbiotes. Explore an expansive Marvel New York using more responsive web browsing and all-new combat tools.
Alone in the Dark (PS5) – October 25
Psychological horror and gothic genre are blended in the recreation of classic survival horror. You can choose between two protagonists, Edward Carnby or Emily Hartwood, and live an incredible story while exploring settings, facing monsters, solving puzzles and discovering the truth in Derceto.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora (PS5) – December 7
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is a first-person action-adventure game set on the western frontier of Pandora. In the game, a Na’vi is kidnapped by the RDA corporation and trained to serve its purposes. Fifteen years later, the character is free, but he feels like a stranger in his native country.
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Cleared His Name (PS4/PS5) – November 9
A legendary yakuza, Kazuma Kiryu, faked his own death and gave up his name to protect his family. Now a mysterious figure forces him to reveal himself again. Codenamed “Joryu”, it embarks on a journey with intense combat in locations full of activity and new characters.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (PS4/PS5) – November 10
New Call of Duty game, Modern Warfare III was unveiled this week by Activision. The title will be a direct sequel to Modern Warfare II and promises to feature an even deeper narrative line and new multiplayer features.
Sonic Superstars (PS4/PS5) – no confirmed date
Sonic Superstars, a retro and modern adventure platformer, features four playable heroes: Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy. Each has unique abilities suitable for different playstyles. Additionally, the title will support multiplayer for up to four participants.
Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections (PS4/PS5) – no confirmed date
The next game in the Storm series celebrates the 20th anniversary of the premiere of the Naruto anime. Connections features the most characters from the entire Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series and will introduce content never before featured in the games.
